The rates come from the European Central Bank via ExchangeRate-API and Frankfurter.app and are updated daily. The mid-market rate is the fairest benchmark for what a currency is worth. It is the rate banks use when trading with each other. When you convert money at a bank or travel money service, they will add their own margin on top. CurrencyConverter247 shows you the underlying rate so you know what you are working with.
